EDDEC Institute
The EDDEC Institute's mission is to support and promote the training, research, action and outreach of the Université de Montréal, HEC Montréal and Polytechnique Montréal, in the areas of the environment, sustainable development and the circular economy. spirit of partnership and interaction between the three institutions and the community.
The environment, sustainable development and the circular economy (EDDEC) challenge researchers in all disciplines on complex issues requiring the pooling of their expertise.
Under the leadership of HEC Montréal, Polytechnique Montréal and the Université de Montréal, the EDDEC Institute was created in the spring of 2014 to unite the skills pool in these areas within its three founding institutions, which represents more than :
- 200 research units (laboratories, groups, centers, chairs, etc.);
- 400 professors and researchers;
- 1500 graduate students.
Having access to the largest pool of French-speaking scientists in Canada in EDDEC, the Institute covers the entire spectrum of scientific disciplines, from the humanities and social sciences to economics, natural sciences and engineering.
