Liang, Dawen

Dawen Liang is a senior research scientist at Netflix, working on core personalization algorithms. His research interests include probabilistic models and (approximate) inference, as well as causal inference, and their applications to recommender systems. He completed his Ph.D. in the Electrical Engineering Department at Columbia University, working on probabilistic latent variable models for analyzing music, speech, text, and user behaviour data.
